Recorded on April 6, 2016 – Crime victims have the right to be involved in the sentence that is imposed on the offender whose crime affected their life. When does a woman survivor of sexual assault or intimate partner violence get to prepare a Victim Impact Statement? What can she say in it? And who can help her prepare it? This webinar in the Family Law Education for Women (FLEW) series, explains what’s new about Victim Impact Statements. It is presented by Tamar Witelson, METRAC’s Legal Director, who is joined by Sarah Marshall, a manager in the Victim/Witness Assistance Program.
